Fan Jinghua: A Drinking Song

  A Drinking Song

Don’t chew the distiller’s aftertaste
When the glass is emptied in candlelight;
Don’t throw the goblet into the dark
When the stain of moon has not dried yet.

Even though the kick is too strong for you,
Drink every drop with grace and a smiling face;
This is a toast and needs a duet
Even though your eyes meet a new apparition.

Take it and let it run into your digestive system
Let it ice your taste buds, pituitary and sperm cyst;
You know this is poison and contains pigment
When you think of her eyes you have no regret.

They don’t toast with a glass of water
You should have known this, and “you know this, right?”

不要回味酒糟的记忆;

微笑着优雅地喝干每一滴;

刺激你的味蕾、脑垂与精囊;
