Fan Jinghua: On Van Gogh’s Café Terrace at Night

On the Postcard with Van Gogh’s Café Terrace at Night

Diamonds of night are beginning to soften now
The last round is not yet ordered
But my eyes have already gone intoxicated
They won’t be like a cut-off ear
That could fly to an untouchable lover
And make her panic and reject the craze
Creators inevitably create loneliness and send themselves
Strolling along the empty alleys
Where the flying ear takes in chilly chirps of autumn insects
And the sleep talks to be uttered
