Still Objects
Here are two bottles, streamlined,
Of the same shape and texture,
Both empty,
And what I need is a silver-coated one
For my heart.
She is one,
And you could have become.
The difference?
She contains the juice of my vision,
And you have veneered yourself with reflection.
Around you I see scattered petals,
In her, drowsy flowers on stems.
The contrast of the sight is spectacular,
And less startling
Than the pattern of things.

静物
这儿是两只瓶子,流线型,
有着相同的形状和质地,
都是空着的,
而我所需的是一只镀银的,
放在心里。
她是,
而你本可能是。
区别?
她承接着我灵视的液体,
而你涂抹了一层折光。
在你周围,我看到散落的花瓣,
她的身体里,插着几株歪头瞌睡的花朵。
一眼看来,这对比惊人,
而比起物体的排列图
也不算什么。
