A Person Watches the Moon Rise by Xiao An

The One Who Watches the Moon Rise

Alone, one watches the moon rise.
The moon is as quiet as that person.
Each is alone before the other,
and neither speaks a word.

Time passes as the moon walks the sky.
It moves farther and farther away,
until the sky is utterly clean.
